The King of Fighters ’97 is a game where you can fight with different characters in teams of three. It has two modes: Advanced and Extra. You can choose your mode before picking your team. In the Advanced mode, you can fill up your Power Gauge by hitting your opponent or doing Special Moves. You can have up to three Power Gauges, and use one to do a Super Special Move or go into “MAX” mode. In the MAX mode, you are stronger and faster.
